Path Builder Tool: Trace, Merge, and Build Shapes Quickly

Vector Ink’s Path Builder Tool acts like a shortcut to precision. You can import a hand-drawn sketch, trace it cleanly, and turn it into a geometrically accurate vector. The tool merges shapes, merges one shape into another, and helps you create complex forms in seconds—tasks that usually take several minutes with a traditional pen tool.

You can apply linear or radial gradients, add or remove gradient stops, and choose colors using multiple pickers (wheel, RGB, HSB, hex, and palette). You can design with dedicated tools such as Rectangle, Circle, Star, and Polygon, then refine results using path and boolean controls. Vector Ink also supports cut/join operations, stroke sizing and caps, converting strokes to paths, and outlining text (converting text to vector paths). You can import custom fonts when you need specific branding or typography.

Layers, Document Setup, and Organization
